 Care for encaustic

  • As with all paintings, encaustic works must be handled with consideration to ensure protection.
     
  • Do not stack items on top of the painting
     
  • Keep works in climates between 35F-120F
     
  • Do not store work in temperatures below freezing.  Bloom occurs when beeswax is exposed theses temperatures. If this    happens, remove crystallization by lightly buffing the surface with a synthetic nylon rag.
